ScandiCross is a free online crossword puzzle app that specializes in Scandinavian-style crosswords — also known as arrowords or Swedish-style crosswords — where every clue sits directly inside the grid, next to the square it belongs to. Instead of jumping between a long clue list and the puzzle, everything you need is right where your eyes already are, which makes solving faster, calmer and more enjoyable. Every puzzle is generated fresh, so you will never run out of new crosswords to play.

The app offers three difficulty levels — easy, medium and hard — in three languages: English, German and Greek. You can type answers on a keyboard, or write them by hand: ScandiCross has its own built-in handwriting recognition, so with a stylus or your finger you can write letters directly into the squares and your ink stays visible on the grid, just like a printed pencil puzzle. A timer, hints, error highlighting and solving statistics round out the experience, and your unfinished puzzle is saved automatically.
